Erato

I saw this on Facebook and immediately wanted to share it with the world.

The beat they use is the very same girls camp classic game "the cup game" from my youth.  Lo and behold, these brilliant ladies took that beat and utilized it.

Erato, by the way, is one of the three Muses in Greek mythology.

If you want to see their lovely website, click here.  (A lot of it is in Sweedish...but you can translate it!)

Pirate Song

Capo fret 2

G.....................D.................Am......................C............................G.................. D......................Am.........C
Moby once told me the coordinates for gold, gave me the rise and the run and I ran away.
G.....................D...........................Am...................C...................G.................. D......................Am.........C
Compass for adventure, bandanna and blue jeans, when I heard the dashes and the dots.
....................G....................D...................Am...................C............G......................................D.......Am......C
Saw your sail and your hull, the white flag on the pole; you surrendered though I just said hello.

Chorus
......................G...D....Am....C
Called me a pirate.
...................G.................. D......................Am.........C
Said I plundered and I stole your heart.
.....G.........................D......................Am....................C........
I didn't mean to break it, I didn't even want to take it,
......G...................................D.......................Am...........C
but I blinked twice and you had stowed away.

Bridge: D..................................Em...............................................
I can reassure you I did not choose to board you.
...D............................................C...................D....
I swear on Davy Jones, you did this too yourself.

*clap clap*

G.....................D.................Am......................C............................G.................. D......................Am.........C
Man overboard! I sincerly pray the Lord will bless you with love to come.
G.....................D.................Am......................C............................G.................. D......................Am.........C
But that love isn't me. No, I'm not the key that's going to unleash the heart in your chest.
G.....................D.................Am......................C.....................
I got no need for an anchor, don't wanna be held down.
................G.................. D...................Am.........C
I may regret it in the end but at least I'm free.

Chorus ..........G...D....Am....C
I'm a pirate.
.....G....................D..........Am.........C
I wander and I never dock
G............................D......Am.............................C........
Live on billowed sails, flirt with sharks and whales
.........G..............................D.................................Am...........C
And when I change my mind the waves don't fuss.

Bridge: D..................................Em...............................................
I know I hurt you, It feels like I desert you.
...D...................................................C........................D....
I made you walk the plank, but it's not you it's me.

*Goes into a trio and audience participation of all your favorite pirate phrases while following the GDEmC chord progression

..........G...D....Am....C
I'm a pirate.
.....G....................D..........Am.........C
I see land but I keep to sea
..........G...D....Am....C
I'm a pirate.
.....G....................D..........Am.........C
I see land but I keep to sea

G.....................D.................Am......................C............................G.................. D......................Am.........C
Moby once told me the coordinates for gold, gave me the rise and the run and I ran away.
